We are proud to announce our first successful round of donations to some amazing high school students. The St. Louis Suit Project has recently partnered with The St. Louis Public Schools’ Vashon High School for the Project’s first ever suit donations. With the help of principal Derrick Mitchell and Samantha Lurie, The St. Louis Suit Project was able to donate 2 brand new custom fit suits and 2 quality used suits to students at Vashon High School. Below are pictures of 3 of the graduating students from graduation ceremonies.
We are extremely excited about the positive feedback we received from the students in our first round of donations. As part of our donation intake process, we were able to verify the following random acts of kindness: one student purchased a meal for a man in need, another student volunteered at his sister’s youth program, another student worked with his youth group to remodel the home of a fellow church member, and another student went out of his way to help an elderly woman carry gardening tools to her car. We again would like to reiterate that individuals wishing to receive a suit do not have to perform a huge task. Sometimes simple heart felt acts of kindness mean much more than expensive gifts.
Again, thanks so much to Vashon High School for being part of The St. Louis Suit Project’s first ever round of donations. We look forward to our continued relationship.
